City testing new textile recycling program


TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - The city of Troy is testing a new textile recycling program.

The city will partner with the American Clothing Recycling Company in Glens Falls to accept clothing, shoes and other textiles.

Drop stations are at the following locations:

  1. Fire Department Central Station – 2175 6th Ave. (rear alley)
  2. Fire Department Station #1 – 115th Street and 5th Avenue
  3. Fire Department Station #3 – 530 Campbell Ave.
  4. South Troy – Corner of Main Street and E. Industrial Parkway (Alamo Facility)

Accepted items include clothing, belts, blankets, curtains, gloves, hats, handbags, sheets, towels and stuffed animals.

All items must be clean and dry.
