CHIC Shanghai to show new fashion with ''New Makers'' motto


The autumn edition of CHIC Shanghai, to be held from September 27 to 29, 2018, is set to display latest innovations in fashion with its motto ‘New Makers’. With around 800 exhibitors from 21 countries at 65,000 square metres area, this edition of Asia’s leading fashion tradefair will provide the essential tool box to crack the Chinese consumer market. 

According to the edition’s motto ‘New Makers’ and the new show design, CHIC September will be all about innovation. CHIC talks and CHIC fashion shows will look into the future of the fashion business and provide insights into the Chinese market. Impulses, the designers’ section at CHIC, will show upcoming designer brands and their innovative, inspiring fashion approaches. 

Clearly structured into appealing segments areas such as New Look (womenswear), Urban View (menswear), Young Blood (young fashion and lifestyle), Kids’ Paradise (kidswear), Secret Stars (accessories), Shanghai Bag (bags), Heritage (leather & fur), Superior Factory (ODM) will present the latest trends and provide the right ambience for intensive business talks. Future Link (services) will gather fashion service providers presenting platforms for supply chain solutions, smart retail and production, RFID, laser production, data use etc. Fashion Journey (international brands) will put overseas´ exhibitors in the spotlight. Next to the big Italian pavilion, the French pavilion ‘Paris Forever’ and Korean ‘Preview in China’ further individual participants from Poland, Spain, France, Italy, Japan and the USA will show their collections here and use CHIC as the bridge into the Chinese market. 

Back again at CHIC September 18 will be the Green Zone presenting sustainable supply chain solutions, sustainable innovations and sustainable fashion. Programmes such asChemicals Stewardship 2020, Carbon Stewardship 2020, Water Stewardship 2020, and Circular Stewardship 2020 will be presented.
