The
Philippine Textile Research Institute (PTRI), with support from the ASEAN
Foundation, will hold an exhibit featuring Association of Southeast Asian
Nations (ASEAN) regional textiles on November 7 to 8, 2017 at the SMX
Convention Center Aura.
The
textile exhibit draws attention to the numerous textile industries that thrive
in the ASEAN region, from the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, and
Malaysia, to Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Lao PDR, and Myanmar.
Emphasis
is laid on handwoven fabrics, natural dyes, and naturally dyed products that
are being used by people all over the Southeast Asian region, exhibiting each
country’s rich heritage, character, and culture.Admission is free. For more
